Hockey Fest To Commemorate 25th
Anniversary Of NHL All-Star Game In Hartford
Hockey Fest to be held Feb. 11 to 20 with high school,
college and professional games scheduled
A celebration marking the
25th anniversary of the NHL All-Star Game in Hartford
will become a focal point of Hockey Fest 2011, The Courant and Fox CT has
learned.
The NHL has given its
approval to Howard Baldwin's
event and this means a number of former stars will appear Feb. 19 at Rentschler
Field in a game against a group of Hollywood celebrities to commemorate the
All-Star Game held at the XL Center on Feb. 4,
1986. The Hollywood All-Stars are built around the cast of the movie,
"Mystery, Alaska."
Several games, ranging from
high school to college and professional, already are planned for the outdoor
rink from Feb. 11 to 20. The event is designed to revitalize the sport in
